Together Family Photos
I apologize in advance if this is a repeat or you all have heard this story before, I can’t remember what stories I have or haven’t told (mommy brain times three!).
I have now lived in Louisville for 10 years, and I remember on one of my visits (Super Bowl weekend 2002) my, then boyfriend (now husband) had a Super Bowl party at his apartment. If I remember correctly, I was the only girl…and the only people I knew was my boyfriend and his roommate. Sure, I had met some of their friends more than once due to visiting Loisville a few times prior, but it was still awkward and I felt SO out of place. Just as I had resigned myself to being the only girl at this shindig with a bunch of football obsessed aquaintances (a situation most girls would have LOVED, I am sure!), in walks one of Jonathon’s friends and his girlfriend. I had met his friend, Trey (I think) once before, but had never met his girlfriend. I believe, at that time, she was still at UK (I may be wrong at that). I just remember being so relieved that there was someone I might be able to chat with while all the football was going on (let’s face it, the only reason that I ever watch the Super Bowl, aside from the festive nature of it, is to watch the commercials and half time). I remember distinctly my first conversations with Stacey. She was from out west, so was I! She was simple, and flawless, and pre-Med… she was everything I had ever imagined myself being, but lacked the drive. We became fast friends…she is probably the first friend I had here in Louisville.
Since then, we got married around the same time, had our first kids at the same time. Just grown up together, so to speak. Trey and Stacey have worked so hard to get where they are, they have sacrificed so much…and honestly they are the BEST examples of true selflessness I have ever seen. I am honored to call them good friends, and even more honored that they call me year after year to capture their beautiful family. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.
