This morning, my oldest son turned to me, as we are rushing off to school, and said:

“Mom…whenever you are in a bad mood or sad, all you have to do is look at Mia…she just makes a person smile.”

Yes, I almost melted. Right there. A big puddle of love.

I was going to write this big long explanation/excuse/justification/apology for posting pictures of my sweet girl…and explain how I know this is a wedding photography blog…and how I know most people come to see my wedding/engagement work…and how it might turn a potential client away because they might not want to see any child photograpy…and…blah blah blah.

I decided not to write a big long explanation and simply say…this is who I am. I am a wedding photographer. I am also a photographer of life. My kids are MY life. It makes my heart so happy to look at these images of my sweet Mia…she is unapologetic in what she loves. I should be too.

Whenever you are sad, or angry…Nathan is correct…all you have to do is look at sweet Mia. She will make you smile.
